alumiermd peels

For bespoke peels that address your specific skin concerns

What is an AlumierMD Peel?

AlumierMD Peels are very gentle superficial chemical facial peels.

There are two types of AlumierMD Peel:

Radiant 30 and Radiant 20/10.

Radiant 30 Peel

This luxury peel is a Lactic Acid (AHA) Peel.

It has no downtime as it is very superficial. It can improve the appearance of dull skin, uneven skin tone and poor skin texture.

AlumierMD Peels also have the added benefits of pre and post peel personalisation to ENHANCE and BOOST certain effects from moisture infusion, skin renewal or impurity extraction to blemish reduction, ageing skin focus and brightening and anti-ageing infusions.

Radiant 20/10 Peel

This luxury peel is a combined Lactic Acid (AHA) and Salicylic Acid (BHA) Peel.

It has no downtime as it is also superficial. It can treat congested skin, oiliness and also rejuvenate skin.

AlumierMD Peels also have the added benefits of being 'Powered UP' once the skin becomes more strengthened by a peel course. This enables the peel to penetrate and be more potent without causing side effects such as irritation and flakiness.

What happens during an AlumierMD Peel treatment?

After your bespoke peel plan has been agreed upon, your practitioner will remove your makeup and apply eye protection.  (Under your eyes can also be treated with Eye Rescue pads)

A preparation solution is applied and left to dry. Enhancement products can be applied to your whole face and left on for about 5 minutes.  The peel is then applied. During this time the face becomes warm from between 5 to 20 minutes.  The peel is then neutralised. A booster is applied for 5 minutes then infusion ingredients followed by soothing post treatment protection.

Your post procedure kit is then supplied with instructions on how to care for your new fresh skin.

How much does a course of AlumierMD Peels cost?

Each peel session will cost £110 and between 4 and 6 sessions are recommended for full effect.

What are the after effects of the peel?

Downtime is very slight. The skin can feel tight and dry and can appear a little red but as long as a moisturiser is applied frequently afterwards then this controls the dryness and flaking very well.

It is very important that an SPF is used after your peel to protect the new skin growing underneath.  This will be provided as part of your package.  Avoid going into strong sunlight after getting a peel and peeling before going on holiday is not recommended.  Otherwise more photo-damage can occur.

What not to do when you are considering a peel.

  • It's important not pick at the skin as the spots are drying up, as that can leave scarring.
  • Do not use if you have active cold sores, herpes simplex or warts in the area to be treated.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure after the peel. Remember to wear sunscreen after these peels.
  • Avoid going into strong sunlight after getting a peel. Having a peel before going on holiday is not recommended.  Otherwise more photo-damage can occur.
  • Peels are not recommended during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
